The Remote Online Notary Specialist program prepares commissioned notaries to understand and perform remote online notarization using secure audio-video technology, electronic documents, identity-verification tools, electronic signatures, and approved RON platforms.
This 19-hour, instructor-led program combines live virtual instruction, platform demonstrations, guided workflows, practical scenarios, and supporting resources. Students will learn how to manage a remote notarization from initial client contact through document completion, record retention, and secure delivery.
WHAT STUDENTS WILL LEARN
Students will learn how to:

• Review state commissioning, registration, insurance, bonding, and technology requirements
• Evaluate RON platforms and required technology
• Prepare electronic documents for a remote notarization session
• Complete identity proofing and credential analysis procedures
• Conduct knowledge-based authentication when required
• Verify signer identity, willingness, awareness, and physical location
• Manage audio-video communication and recording requirements
• Apply electronic signatures, electronic notary seals, and digital certificates
• Complete electronic notarial certificates accurately
• Maintain electronic journals, recordings, and required records
• Protect signer information and reduce cybersecurity and fraud risks
• Handle failed identity checks, technical interruptions, and session termination
• Build a professional remote-notarization workflow

Students need a reliable internet connection and a computer with a working camera, microphone, speakers, and current web browser. Class access instructions will be provided through the registered student account.

Course materials are provided for the enrolled student’s educational use and may not be copied, shared, resold, or distributed without written authorization.
CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION
Students must complete the required instruction and participation activities and earn a score of at least 80% on the final assessment to receive a TTS Training Academy certificate of completion.
The certificate documents completion of the training program. It does not grant a notary commission, remote online notary authorization, government license, platform approval, or legal credential.
LIVE VIRTUAL CLASS INFORMATION
This program is delivered live online through Google Meet. Participants must attend from a computer or tablet with a working camera, microphone, speakers, and reliable internet connection.
Class dates and times are listed under the available Class Session options. All times are Eastern Time.
Enrollment includes the student workbook, course-specific checklists, classroom exercises, assessment materials, protected student resources, and eligibility for a certificate of completion.
The Google Meet link and protected class materials will be available through the student’s TTS Training Academy account. Registered students will also receive a Google Calendar invitation before class.
Live sessions will be recorded. Students will receive a recording notice and must provide the required consent before participating.
The class requires a minimum of 3 registered students and is limited to 10 students. If minimum enrollment is not reached, TTS Training Academy may reschedule the class or provide the options stated in the Training Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Participants must complete the published attendance and assignment requirements and earn a score of at least 80% on the final assessment to receive a certificate of completion.

Remote online notarization laws, authorized acts, registration procedures, technology standards, identity-proofing requirements, record-retention periods, insurance requirements, and approved platforms vary by state.
Students must follow the laws and official guidance of their commissioning state and complete all required state and platform approvals before performing remote online notarizations.
