The Notary Fraud & ID Verification Specialist program prepares experienced notaries to recognize and respond to identity, document, signature, coercion, and cybersecurity risks.
This 12-hour, instructor-led program uses practical examples and fraud scenarios to strengthen identification review, signer protection, incident documentation, and decisions about when a signing must stop.
WHAT STUDENTS WILL LEARN
Students will learn how to:
• Recognize common notary fraud risks and warning signs
• Detect suspicious identification and apply structured verification procedures
• Identify document and signature fraud indicators
• Recognize possible coercion, duress, and third-party pressure
• Protect signer information, business records, and electronic communications
• Apply practical cybersecurity controls to notary operations
• Document unusual events and suspected fraud objectively
• Determine when a signing should pause, be refused, or be reported

CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION
Students must complete the required instruction and assignments, document responses to the assigned fraud scenarios, and earn at least 80% on the final assessment.
Qualified students may receive a TTS Training Academy certificate of completion. The certificate does not grant a notary commission, government license, law-enforcement authority, fraud-examiner credential, or cybersecurity certification.
LIVE VIRTUAL CLASS INFORMATION
This program is delivered through Google Meet. Class dates and times are listed under the available Class Session options. All times are Eastern Time.
The Google Meet link and protected materials will be provided through the student’s TTS Training Academy account. Registered students will also receive a Google Calendar invitation.
Live sessions will be recorded. Students must provide the required recording consent before participating.
If minimum enrollment is not reached, TTS Training Academy may reschedule the class or provide the options stated in the Training Refund and Cancellation Policy.
STATE AND PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS NOTICE
Notary laws, identification standards, recordkeeping requirements, reporting procedures, and privacy obligations vary by state and assignment type.
Students must follow their commissioning state’s laws and the lawful instructions governing each assignment. Notaries should not accuse a signer of fraud, seize identification, conduct criminal investigations, or exceed their authorized role.
